Sustainability

The selection of new furniture and signs for Vilamoura’s golf courses follows rigorous sustainability criteria, utilizing 100% recycled plastic from yellow recycling bins and PEFC/FSC®-certified materials. This initiative not only underscores our dedication to environmental and social responsibility but also ensures long-term economic benefits by reducing maintenance needs and inspiring our golf partners to embrace similar practices.

The Vilamoura Golf Courses embraced digital innovation with the installation of How Many Strokes digital handicap conversion tables. This modern solution eliminates the need for physical conversion tables, thereby reducing paper use and simplifying calculations for our visitors.

Our approach extends to the reuse of biodegradable materials from tree maintenance, transforming branches and pine trunks into wood chips that enhance non-playable and landscaped areas. This shift from grass to wood chips reduces water and fertilizer consumption, as well as the human resources needed for upkeep.
