The Vilamoura International Golf Classic is a celebrated annual event attracting amateur golfers from around the world to compete on Vilamoura’s exceptional courses. From January 21st to 26th, participants will take on the Old Course, Pinhal, Millennium, and Laguna, enjoying thrilling rounds of golf by day and engaging social gatherings by night, set against the backdrop of Vilamoura’s dynamic lifestyle.

Thursday, 16th of January
08:3AM – 3rd round (Individual Stableford) at The Old Course

Friday, 17th of January
08:30AM – Last round (Fourball Betterball Stableford) at Dom Pedro Old Course
07:30PM – Cocktail followed by dinner and prize giving at Dom Pedro Marina

TOURNAMENT RULES

Competition

• Individual stableford net, full handicap each category – 54 holes.
o Prizes will be awarded on the final scores for the men’s within two categorys and ladies competition within one category. • Fourball betterball stableford net – 75% handicap – 18 Holes.

Participants:

• Tournament open to all amateur federated golfers, with a handicap certificate from his / her home golf club. Max handicaps: Men – 28, Ladies – 36.

Ties

• In the case of tied scores the result will be determined on a count back of the last 18, 9, 6, 3, best last hole and finally by a draw. The tie break for the overall net winner will result in a sudden death play off.

Rules
• The R&A Rules Ltm, and local rules in score card.
• Preferred lies on fairways only, within the scorecard length, not nearer the hole.
• A ball embedded in its own pitch-mark in any part of the course, except sand or water hazards, can be lifted, cleaned and dropped without penalty, as near as possible to the point where the ball lay, but not nearer the hole.
• Stones in bunkers are considered loose impediments, may be removed without penalty.
• It´s allowed to use electronic devices and measuring distances.
• All areas under repair (GUR) are marked blue stakes and / or painted.
• Immovable obstructions:
o Young trees staked and / or up to 2 clubs high and its boiler, field beds, watering system components, marks made by course equipment, artificial walls and bridges can lift the ball under rule 16.1
• The penalty for breaching of any of the above rules result in the player DISQUALIFICATION.
• Omissions in the above Regulation will be decided definitively by the Technical Commission.

• Appointed by the Dom Pedro Golf.

• Ladies – Red

Awards
• Individual stableford net 1st, 2nd and 3rd places each category (1st Cat Men & 2ª Cat Men and Ladies) • Fourball betterball stableford net 1st, 2nd and 3rd places

Handicaps will be the same for the 3 tournament days
The tournament committee reserves the right to request the handicap certificate.
